Should we rebrand Warpcast to Farcaster?

We separated Warpcast (the app) from Farcaster (the protocol) a few years ago. 

We've heard from many new users that this is very, very confusing. People hear about Farcaster, search in the app store, can't find anything called Farcaster and then churn.

maybe it was a mistake marketing warpcast features on the farcaster x account?

how about applying some product led protocol development energy to marketing as well?

feels like the rebranding is a shortcut for better short term conversion at the cost of neutrality and other higher order effects that are unclear

I wonder how may builders and users are here because they think Farcaster is “neutral” or “permissionless”?

Seems to me that most here only care about its tight Ethereum support.

this stuff is relatively unimportant to miniapps/social-adjacent apps. the number of users is most important to them

i would like to spend more effort on ATproto as well. if i'm not mistaken you mentioned that there is a conversation about mini apps there? who should i follow to keep up to date on it?

It's time to own it, and run with it. I'll continue to use it because it is an interesting design space.

But for open decentralized social, I've transitioned my focus to ATproto.
