phantom is a good product but i've never been blown away by it i've also only ever used it to swap and bridge in-app. i've arguably had a higher transaction failure rate on phantom (solana) than any other wallet when all a wallet has to do is swap and transfer without leaving the app the bar is pretty low also not open source, which sucks from a security pov

yeah, I’ve had a fair amount of failed transactions but imo that’s usually more to do with network congestion than phantom itself whereas rainbow I can’t use reliably with a ledger for nearly 6 months now. I empathize with their team though because it’s a way harder product to build with more chains to support.

From the solana POV it’s great. But on Ethereum it’s nothing special, just another metamask with less functionality. I found nest wallet recently. Supports both ethereum and solana and is way better than phantom. Little to no swap fees and it’s faster as well

First time i used phantom was to claim wormhole airdrop, spent half a day trying to sell it. Last month used it again trying to buy ai16z, in-app swap didn’t work after many attempts. Tried on a few days to register username, always gives some error Never understood the hype 🤷♂️ i think it just that mm is so bad, meanwhile we have many great alternatives
