this is highly relevant to people building in consumer (especially social) i found it interesting that nikita targets the teen demographic for social apps because they see eachother every day and their social circles grow much more rapidly than people out of school/college https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhnfZhJWCWY

i just finished it now and wanted to share it as well really good insights into how to target consumer apps, how important the naming is, and knowing that you're building products for users that have 3s attention. if you don't get them in the first seconds, you'll have a tough time

So, to generalize, you need to promote your app in cohorts that already have social connections, as strong as possible. And hope that this will get you vitality.

This approach is a very nice strategy. Since teens see each other every day, whether in school or through extracurricular activities, their social circles are constantly expanding, which creates a fertile environment for rapid network effects. Founders should adopt this strategy more!

i completely agree, and it's a smart observation. targeting the teen demographic for social apps makes a lot of sense when you consider how rapidly their social circles can expand. their frequent interactions and the fluidity of their social networks create a fertile ground for social apps to thrive.
