my take on $degen staking after stewing on it: many people have said it, but the #1 issue is that an allocation shouldn't be based on the fraction the stake represents of the entire pool since it effectively creates a bidding war for allocations (pvp). i won't make specific suggestions on how to change this since many great ones have already been made.

i am proud to have staked, but seeing other folks' allocations continue to drop due to this dynamic makes me (and them) sad. getting penalized for doing nothing is sad.

tipping should be as fun as we can make it.

I think the free market will eventually define how much locked Degen is worth a 10k Degen tip allowance, and then the price will stabilize. In my opinion, free markets work better than centrally defined prices. Let's see how it plays out this season!

Sadly, I’ve already seen many friends decide to stop participating in degen tipping and switch to other forms of tipping because locking up a substantial amount of degen without much return is simply not worth it. I locked up a sizable amount, and my allowance is already lower than last season (and it keeps decreasing daily).

Although I can understand why changes were made and appreciate you and the team, I personally feel that too many and too big of changes can potentially do more harm than good. Hoping for the best though and curious to see how it pans out through the rest of the season.

It’s because we don’t count ..cause we don’t have hundreds of thousands invested in this. Degen on twitter locks the comments on their posts , because they are cowards and know the backlash they would get.
