I think the free market will eventually define how much locked Degen is worth a 10k Degen tip allowance, and then the price will stabilize. In my opinion, free markets work better than centrally defined prices. Let's see how it plays out this season!

100% As long as the incentives are correct. It seems fair that whales would decide to stake more as a “reduction to the inflationary measure” that tipping triggers. Eventually, market finds a Nash equilibrium between the social value of tipping and the (over)locking of degen.

I support locking degen and like this change, but I hope there are other ways to participate that allow everyone to progress without just spending money. This way, the project can have a positive feedback loop.

sorry Jacek, this isn't one you get to pass the buck on current staking mechanics are a race to the bottom imo it's not a free market since there's a 3-mo lock duration and with the 10k max allo it essentially means the market mechanics (which can only move one way) fall entirely on whales who's only real incentive at this point is to determine if continuously reducing everyone else's allo (but not that of other whales) is worth the reduced inflation from tips being given out among regular participants smaller investors are left with two choices: 1. don't stake, or 2. stake and play a game against people who have the ability to change the game mechanics
