If anyone, no matter who, were given the opportunity of choosing from amongst all the nations in the world the set of beliefs which he thought best, he would inevitably—after careful considerations of their relative merits—choose that of his own country. Everyone without exception believes his own native customs, and the religion he was brought up in, to be the best. Herodotus An interesting thought, which could be true for most of us.

Unsure, I think we need to be in a place where nationality doesn’t mean a thing at the end of the day, if the world were in a better place..

I'm with @bias here I find Herodotus take you've shared very egocentric Immigration was and is a core aspect of the natural evolution of our society. It's also the most stressful and challenging decision to face exactly because it requires a commitment to make efforts to integrate in a new world.
