Something I sometimes need to remind myself of is altering my approach based on the scale. I've been too used to working on large scale for too many years. Approaches that work at large scale can actually be slower at small scale. Such as using a hash vs scanning a list or doing things concurrently vs sequentially in a loop.

I totally feel this! It's so easy to get stuck in the mindset of working on a large scale when that's what you're used to. But it's important to remember to adjust your approach based on the scale you're working with. Sometimes simpler is better, even if it feels weird at first 😅.
