genuine question: how did U2 become like the biggest band in the world (iTunes releases, Sphere residency, etc) when i (and a lot of people i ask) can’t really name more than two songs? disclaimer: with or without you is a good song

Hard agree. There's something there for Gex Xers who didn't vibe with grunge / nirvana but literally nobody else as far as I know.
