I now understand what the English saying „going through the motions“ means.

The more English my life has become the more I am learning to understand the language on a deeper level

Mainly though my feelings are German, I don’t feel English the same way.

With going through the motions it just occurred to me because of the ups and downs of the last weeks that  my mind overcame
