Do you output different types of passes from your 3D app and then layer them in Photoshop?

Nope! It's all one render from 3D and did some slight color swaps in Photoshop ( using the channel mixer a load these days )

I'll have to explore the channel mixer! Sometimes I duplicate the art layer, change the mode of the one on top to Difference (which makes the scene black). Then I add a Black/White filter to just the top layer, and play with the sliders.

Thats fun! Never tried that before:) I am crazy experienced in Photoshop but yet I'm SOOOO unaware of SO many things in the software. Also, for treating renders these days I LOOOVE the Camera Raw for the options it has!
