different POV: my family, friends, and former colleagues all think *better* of crypto because i work in it and have strong conviction about the technology yes, they're still a little icked but less so because of me i bet @nick could say the same believe in the power of good, kind, interesting (crypto) people

this is very much my experience as well. a couple of my friends go out of their way to say that their view of crypto has changed because of what they know I'm working on it / what I've shared with them (the fact that they feel they have to go out of their way to say that says a lot about the general public perception)
