I can cast to zero channels now. The new default “invite only” behaviour is not a good way to build a social network, imho.

If I am locked out of “where the discussion is happening,” then I imagine *many* more users will be too. The app becomes dead on arrival for 99% of us.

The other thing that makes this worse is that without membership your replies are hidden under “show more replies”. 

So the idea of being “discovered”, with drastically lowered visibility, & being “invited” by super busy people & insanely busy channel mods is umm 🤔 questionable for new user engagement.

Should be the opposite - new users should have increased visibility early on so they get replies, get new followers & become engaged on the platform. 

Established accounts already have an audience, new accounts need help to get it & enjoy it.

Otherwise I cast, get no replies. I reply, get no followers. Adios.
