He is no longer selling ETH but instead pushing it to stimulate the Ethereum ecosystem.

Ethereum has transferred part of the Foundation’s ETH, worth nearly $120M, into DeFi protocols. Specifically:

10,000 ETH into Spark
10,000 ETH into Aave Prime
20,800 ETH into Aave Core
4,200 ETH into Compound
By placing ETH into these protocols, the Ethereum Foundation can earn returns to operate, rather than needing to liquidate ETH as it did before. It’s estimated that these investments could generate $1.5M in annual profits with an interest rate of 1.5%.
