Serious question - where did the whole “NFTs are bad for the environment” come from? I remember the day like it was yesterday. Artists on Nifty Gateway getting roasted left and right. But what was the source?

It was largely coinciding during the time of ETH transition, so there were lot of vocal voices talking about POW ETH energy usage.
