How to make walnut spread:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the walnuts on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned.
Let the walnuts cool, then add them to a food processor or blender with the oil, honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, and salt.

Process the mixture until it's smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides of the processor as needed.

Taste the spread and add any desired spices or seasonings.
Transfer the walnut spread to a serving bowl or airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
