Well, God bless the Base 💰 Coinbase does not aim to create a token because Base earns fees for sequencing txs. For each txs on an L2, a small fee is paid to the sequencer, which in this case is Coinbase. Annual revenue could be around $360M per year. However, there is a risk of unfair centralization. Sad but true
