I think I need to really hone in on what is “generative”. I thought of many of these folks but did not necessarily consider some of their work generative. Others clearly fall in the category.

great list. i would also add @mitchellfchan, @chainleft, Jodi, @harmvandendorpel, @rheaplex … but I could go on for a long time ツ

I think 0xHaiku and Sarah Friend are perfect examples for the niche, specifically conceptual & generative.

More if we expand the definition to "genart that's not just pretty but explores deeper concepts": Mathcastles obv, James Bloom, Figure31, Miragenesi, dhof, rudxane... I'm missing plenty if we go down this road :)

I love, love, love @mitchellfchan and he does have generative work. But a lot of work I associate with him is great digital code based conceptual art that explores related grounds but is not generative. But I actually had him in the original text and removed him for this semantic reason.
