Inertia. I already have many wallets with things in them. Hardware wallets as well. When there's functionality and it's been around for a while I'll consider it. At the same time, I'm building a side project and I'm absolutely integrating the coinbase smart wallet for others to create a new wallet if they need to.

Security concerns are what hold me back from embracing a smart wallet fully. If there were clearer, user-friendly guides available, I'd feel more confident diving in. Thanks! @bountybot

Dependence on third parties and adoption. It has been said "not your keys, not your wallet". Smart contracts are complex, so most of us would not fully understand potential risks. Are my funds safe? Is there any censorship mechanism? etc.
