Just a fantastic fact (unless you’re a Liverpool fan). Yesterday was the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, and Everton equalized in the 98th minute. That alone is beautiful, but on top of that, the Toffees also managed to preserve the historical balance of the derby at their home ground. Everton and Liverpool have played 120 derbies at Goodison Park, and neither side has gained the upper hand: 41 wins each and 38 draws. I’ll never stop admiring the Toffees and wishing for them to always play in the Premier League. Too bad it will be at a new stadium.
