Farcaster feels great because it feels like a high quality sub-dunbar-number-community by default. Right now that's probably because it's invite-only @dwr.eth if you can make Farcaster social circles sub-dunbar-number *opt-out* as it scales, would be v special

I think Twitter Community is close but it didn’t develop its full potential. They lack the motivation and tools to cultivate a healthy community and more Twitter users like dunking than civil conversations of ideas.

I agree. Unfortunately, dunking gets far more engagement compared with civil conversations - Would love to see software disincentives in-place for this.

Yes, it is the sad outcome of today’s SNS that relies on ads and have to optimize for attention. I think it is hard to be changed unless there is a viable and big enough revenue model other than ads.
