The solution to providing cheap healthcare for everyone doesn't involve the government at all. It requires the government getting the fuck out of the way of innovation and within a decade we can all have doctor robots powered by medical AI models in our homes. You can mass produce doctor robots, they don't have to go to school for years. Hook it up with a pharm printer and a kit containing a selection of basic ingredients and precursor chemicals. Then you can literally get meds, surgery, or basic medical advice at home for a fraction of the cost. The only thing that will stop this is the government getting in the way, "oh we can't have people producing their own meds, we can't have robots during surgeries without qualified human supervision, blah blah blah". It will be a fight of regulation versus innovation and if innovation wins, healthcare for everyone will become a reality with no socialism required.

Nope. We should have already taken care of all our citizens with Universal Healthcare decades ago. It’s common sense both financially and morally. But politicians and GOP oligarchs are invested in long term exploitation, desperation, and social disease.

Well people can wait another few decades on politicians to maybe fix it, which they won't, or people can invest in and support technological solutions that can bring healthcare to the masses 100 times faster.

I believe there is a middle road sweet spot for sure… if I can get my robot doctor to sign off on my disability pension sooner even better!
