Resistance to the coup is the defense of the human against the digital and the democratic against the oligarchic. If Musk controls these digital systems, Republican elected officials will be just as helpless as Democratic ones. The institutions that they voted to create can also be “deleted,” as Musk puts it. President Trump, for that matter, will also perform at Musk’s pleasure. There is not much he can do without the use of the federal government’s computers. No one will explain this to Trump or to his supporters, of course. A coup is underway, against Americans as possessors of human rights and dignities, and against Americans as citizens of a democratic republic. Each hour this goes unrecognized makes the success of the coup more likely. -Timothy Snyder

Trump’s nominee to direct the Office of Management and Budget, Russell Vought, was a key architect of Project 2025, which called for dramatically reducing the power of Congress and the United States civil service. Vought has referred to career civil servants as “villains” and called for ending funding for most government programs. In the name of combatting diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, Trump is taking down websites of information paid for with tax dollars, slashing programs that advance health and science, ending investments in infrastructure, trying to end foreign aid, working to eliminate the Department of Education. Today the admin offered buyouts to all who work at the Central Intelligence Agency, saying that anyone who opposes Trump’s policies should leave. Today, Musk entered the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which provides daily weather and wind predictions; cutting NOAA and privatizing its services is listed as a priority in Project 2025. -Heather Cox

At this very moment, disturbed, mentally and psychologically unstable men and women, some having documented close relationships with some of the most evil people on the planet, are tearing everything your uncles, grandfathers, grandmothers, sisters, brothers, fathers, mothers, cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, etc., defended with their service to the United States of America and their military service. Many of them did not come home. Some came home in crates. In some cases, only parts of them came home. They gave it all, for the very things that people like Trump, Musk, Hegseth, Vance, Tom Homan, Sean Duffy, and all of the other un-American fucks that are smiling and laughing about as they rip them to shreds. They are wiping their ASSES on the memories and service of our loved ones, friends, and family. I just want you to keep that in mind.

The super wealthy want you to be mad about foreign aid because they don't want anyone to focus on the HUGE amount of money we spend on THEM. Trump's 2017 law spends more on tax breaks for just 4 companies (AT&T, Facebook, Verizon and Walmart) than the entire USAid budget.

Musk is not only UNelected, he is an anti-democracy, Nazi madman being allowed to pilfer information and money from average Americans (he is an illegal immigrant from South Africa to begin with!)

“When Americans were looking for answers following the tragic plane crash, Donald was spreading bogus conspiracy theories on social media. He then held a “press conference,” where he lied incessantly, and tried to pin the blame on Obama, Biden, DEI hires, and Pete Buttigieg (acting like Pete was still the Secretary of Transportation). Pete called the remarks “despicable,” and said Donald “should be leading, not lying.” Buttigieg then slammed Trump for firing and suspending “key personnel who helped keep our skies safe.” And he pointed out that the Biden administration “grew Air Traffic Control, and had zero commercial airline crash fatalities.”

Trump team is sabotaging our government. OMB nominee Russell Vought has said he wants to put career civil servants “in trauma,” so that when “they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work because they are increasingly viewed as the villains.” Why? Privatize and monetize! -BarbMcQuade buff.ly/4aBrHbi

If you wanted to know how an autocracy would start in America, it begins by releasing violent thugs from prison who beat up police defending Congress, illegally firing every Inspector General, and seizing billions appropriated by Congress for people with no authority to do so. When the president, on every issue, says that he will decide what he is allowed to do under the Constitution and nobody else, every appointee and member of his party obeys because they are either corrupt or afraid of him, and SCOTUS has given him immunity, you have an autocracy.

Danielle Hegseth, Pete's former sister-in-law, after Pete's confirmation: "A week ago, I was promised that my statement, on the record, would corroborate the other accusations and make a difference in key votes. But in the end, it did not. [This vote] will make women who have experienced abuse and mistreatment even less forthcoming because the men involved in the decisions leading to Hegseth's confirmation have actively perpetuated the mechanisms, including gag orders and fear of retaliation, that keep women silent."

As planned with Stephen Miller and likely Putin, Trump has undertaken to dismantle our democratic government. He has stopped the funding for repairing roads, bridges, airports, and ports that passed Congress in a bipartisan vote in 2022, as well as taken away funding for new solar manufacturing plants and other new systems to address climate change. He has frozen all travel and communications at the Department of Health and Human Services, including the Centers for Disease Control and the National Institutes of Health. “We’ve never seen anything like this,” one researcher told the Washington Post. “This is like a meteor just crashed into all of our cancer centers and research areas.” Trump has declared a war on equity programs. In his revoking of LBJ’s Executive Order 11246, itself based on FDR’s Executive Order 8802, he’s rejecting the principles Americans fought for in World War II.

Meanwhile President Biden’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recently accomplished ALL this helping most of us: * Went to court against Capital One for cheating consumers out of $2 billion by deceiving them on savings accounts and interest rates. * Fined cash app purveyor Block $175 million for fostering fraud on its platform and then refusing to offer customer support to affected consumers. * Proposed a rule to prohibit take-it-or-leave-it contracts from financial institutions that allow firms to de-bank users over whether they seek redress for fraud. * Issued a report with recommendations on how states can update their laws to protect against junk fees and privacy abuses. * Sued credit reporting agency Experian for refusing to investigate consumer disputes and errors on credit reports. * Finalized a rule to remove medical debt from credit scores.

Remember who the enemy is Protests wont work, but a General Strike would bring them to their knees FAST Not for a few hours, but for days and weeks if not longer. The best part, you dont have to leave your house to participate and it can be planned so you can prepare in advance.

“Today, after many months of intensive diplomacy by the United States, along with Egypt and Qatar, Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire and a hostage deal. My diplomacy never ceased in their efforts to get this done – I will speak more about this soon.” -President Biden JAN 15, 2025

“If something isn't safe for your skin, then it's not safe to eat. The FDA finally just banned Red No. 3 from our foods—it only took them 35 years from when it was banned from makeup. Now it's time to ban Red 40, Yellow 5/6, High-Fructose Corn Syrup, and all trash in our food.” - U.S. Rep. Anna Luna
