How are L2 fees calculated  before knowing how much it will cost to write L2 block data to mainnet?

I’m assuming that’s not how it works, but how do we guarantee that there is enough eth to pay for L2 settlement transactions on mainnet?

For this I would recommend using the `GasPriceOracle`: https://basescan.org/address/0x420000000000000000000000000000000000000F

You can use .001 max priority fee, and for max-fee take the base fee, multiply it by 2, and add the priority fee.

Thanks, however I’m not implementing something currently. I’m just trying to understand how the L2 fees are calculated when we don’t know how much L1 settlement will cost when those L2 transactions get settled
