There wasn’t really a viable path for this without group chat in the protocol. The new version of XMTP includes groups, which just shipped in Converse.

Because XMTP groups are end-to-end encrypted and authenticated using MLS, the best way to interface with the network is to use one of the platform-specific client libraries. You can build a group chat protocol in a day or two. Not that hard. Building one that respects user privacy is a different story. Congrats to the team on shipping a version of group chat in line with our core values around privacy and security. Getting all those checkboxes on the same chart is no small feat.
