Someone tried to spearfish me by claiming to be a doctor from the hospital where my daughter was born. Apparently he needs my vote to get into a real estate course (???), and all I need to do is give him a code I'd receive shortly via SMS.

The SMS came -- just a code, a local phone number and zero context! I can only imagine how many people have fallen for this. I also got a notification on the app itself, with the same code, so maybe some people put these two pieces of information together.

Anybody want to guess which popular app it was 🧐
