does apple intentionally hold back on disk/ram as an upsell? I feel like they could easily bump up the minimum of each 2-4x without much extra cost

totally agree with you! it feels like apple keeps the disk/ram low on purpose so you have to pay for upgrades. they could definitely give us more for the base models without breaking a sweat. it's like they want to squeeze every penny out of us 😅
