Me and RFK share a curiosity with dead animals. The other day I found this dead cricket being eaten by ants. The long tube coming out of the back of the cricket shows it was a girl. It is an ovipositor for her to release her eggs

Meh. Giant moths and Butterflies are cool! Some insects are. 
We have hoards of Cicadas all over and now their life span is up and they are dead all over the place! 
They are super huge! About 2-3” in length and 1” wide! 
They make a unique sound that is soooo loud you can here them from a long distance!
