According to Coindesk, on Friday afternoon local time, Republican Congressman Mike Johnson, supported by Trump, received enough votes to be re elected as Speaker of the House. Johnson is considered a crypto friendly, having previously voted in favor of the Financial Innovation and Technology Act of the 21st Century (FIT21) and the Anti Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) Act. Johnson's re-election and Emmer's continued role as the majority whip mean that cryptocurrency friendly members of Congress are likely to push for cryptocurrency legislation in 2025. @gyomei

BitcoinMagazine published an article on X platform stating that Finnish trade newspaper Kauppalehti predicts that Bitcoin will plummet by 40% in 2025. The honeymoon period between Trump and Bitcoin investors will end in the fall as the huge expectations of the cryptocurrency industry have not been met. This, along with the decline in US stock returns, will break Bitcoin's bullish cycle, and by the end of this year, a pullback will cause its peak price to fall by 40%. Many investors are fleeing Bitcoin from US ETFs @ftionbbb

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States recently proposed to uniformly expand the block and key length of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to 256 bits to meet the encryption needs under big data processing and quantum computing threats. The current AES uses 128 bit blocks and supports key lengths of 128, 192, and 256 bits. NIST states that increasing block and key lengths can help enhance the ability to counter quantum computing and ensure the security of encryption systems. Meanwhile, other quantum security schemes are being tested, including the post quantum cryptography experiment completed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Bank of France. Although the threat of quantum computing is still decades away, experts are calling for preparation for encryption systems. @gyomei

Building a Farcaster bot in public (cont.) Someone asked me why I put a limit on the length of my bot's conversation (4 replies max). The main reason is to control cost, while still in development. If someone wants to get in an infinite conversation with a bot, there are plenty of other options out there. Doesn't need to be mine. And that got me thinking about what differentiates my bot: its access to /gmfarcaster101 videos. The transcripts I fed it weren't perfect. It thought @nounishprof was Nannish Prav, and it thought degen was dGen. I decided to focus on improving its responses, to correctly mention Nounish Prof and refer to degen correctly. (Garbage in, garbage out) Solution: Search & replace the transcript embeddings and refresh my vector DB It was a good learning experience. Instead of focusing on additional bot capabilities I'll keep focused on context for a while - improving the transcript quality AND maybe start loading regular /gmfarcaster episodes in addition to Farcaster 101.

SlowMist Cosine posted on X platform that a well-known bot platform was discovered by a white hat with related vulnerabilities, which may lead to private key leakage. The white hat provided feedback, but it seems to have caused some controversy due to the vulnerability bounty issue. White Hat is worried about the risk of DEXX being hacked on this bot platform in the future. When the traces left by him are investigated, they will seek to prove their innocence. Cosine notation, in order to avoid being neutral, it is specifically noted that the words "white hat" mentioned do not necessarily mean "white hat", and it is not yet possible to verify who is right or wrong, who is right more or who is less. If this bot platform is hacked in the future, there is some information shared by this white hat for verification. @gyozatarochan
