Love to merkle but I don’t understand the frames to mini app name change Why swap from a very specific tem that you can own and has a chance to become the label for a whole category of interaction into something so generic and bland It feels like if 2011 Twitter had rebranded tweets to 'micro sms'

at current point imo, given priority is new user growth, accessible and legible understanding to potential new devs/users is higher value than owning a net new term and think mini apps is far more legible even if less personality

Maybe, but mini app just doesn't make me curious. It's familiar yes, but it's also an overloaded term — as soon as I read it I *think* I understand exactly what they are, what they're for, and how they work. Seeing "frames are great, you should check them out" at least requires people to learn what they are before making up their mind about using them. And I'd be willing to bet that the people most likely to use or build on frames are also the people who are most likely to get nerdsniped by ^that sentence and click through
