Feels illegal to be casting off topic from frames now – but I just wrote about Arc browser's latest feature & their tenuous user-alignment. TL;DR don't throw throw stones (criticize ads) when you live in a glass house (have no business model) https://zhayitong.com/2024/02/01/arc-alignment.html

I suspect the plan they won't admit public is to try to get acquired by a big tech company. Pivoting away from Arc for Teams subscriptions seems to indicate they don't have a viable business.

It's clearly a great product, but great product != great business

Do you think B2C subscriptions is not viable? I always imagined that would be the end state

What software company has a venture scale B2C subscription business as its primary revenue model? Netflix and Spotify are content businesses. Apple and Amazon subscriptions are ancillary. Consumers don’t pay for software at scale, businesses do.
