idk, looking at the leaderboard i see some folks who are quite critical of base eg zinger and keccers i think it's perfectly possible to do great on here while being critical of fc/base or even not talking about crypto at all

exceptions to the rule (and early FIDs with established audiences) step back and take a second to consider this scenario you're talking to a new person joining Farcaster and recommending to them how to build an audience on here they post good content in general + have honest, quality critiques of Farcaster and Base do you think sharing those critiques will help them or hurt them in building an audience here? would it be better they stick to non-controversial content?

i don't think good faith criticism = controversial, people enjoy the discussion and tbh would probably be more drawn to a new user who had feedbacks and criticism than the nth bullposter (though the latter does give cheap engagement i think) if someone started out saying straight up inflammatory stuff then yea that would be a losing strategy. but imo honesty and quality are rewarded here regardless of what the actual opinion is

yes overall this is a good place for honest discussion and you will be rewarded if you consistently post good stuff I'm just saying the reality is that if someone does want to growth hack here, going all-in on "Base is awesome Farcaster is awesome" is going to have fantastic results the biggest accounts on here that will give you the boost you need to get in the algo feed want to see that content, so being a new user and giving it to them is smart
