I think the biggest reason people subscribe to hypersubs is just like proximity/alignment/support of the creator

Like you see your friend launch a hypersub, yeah of course you're gonna put a few months down on it

don't think ppl really have cared much about getting "value" back

I think it's basically, people don't have expectations of value to initially subscribe, but value keeps them retained

Yeah no doubt. it’s social, proximity, for my favorites ones I’m already getting so much ‘value’ just from like jihad and yb posting, or want to support max and steen making work.
