Discourse around art/artists/artist tools etc in crypto is generally very cooked. Frankly I have nothing to contribute here. Cuz it’s cooked

NFTs were rarely actually “art”

Participants’ lack of confidence/integrity around this doomed the whole space imo

Well there was a thriving actual art space which is/was explicitly art imo, that’s what I’m referring to here, not like pfps

But my cast is not about art or NFTs but the quality of discourse around it

But many holders having to pretend/believe that all the money making schemes with a fiver image on it were “art” as NFTs — it dragged down the authentic work in the space in public consciousness

(This almost even happens with crypto itself, but luckily the two most legit things are more than 50% of all talk and value)
