its a compelling vision but it feels like people aren't really building towards that anymore - and more structurally, the market incentivizes that

defi is the one area where people do actually use composable legos because protocols have liquidity moats if there's no liquidity moat though the incentive for a business is to fork/"roll their own" instead of plugging in an existing lego

Yea I agree about market incentives. In many respects it feels like _the_ better way to write software. But due to increased user friction + cost + no "killer use case" yet, it hasn't reached the escape velocity that something that relies on network effects needs to win
