what's the sentiment on blogs, bullish/bearish over next decade?

bearish on blogging in the traditional sense - i don’t think we'll see growth in personal websites with frequent long form writing

bullish on twitter/farcaster as a micro blog + podcasts (and their transcripts) as long form info sharing - both lower the barrier to sharing ideas, which will lead to more of it

this reminded me of a tweet from pieter levels the other day

A lot of the original bloggers of 10-15 years ago have stopped writing new posts

Most of their blogs have a final post like this (this one by @tynan) and I know this feeling of guilt of not writing on your blog anymore
