as I'm packing to move out of my apt i keep coming back to "stated vs revealed" - there are items i say i'd like to hold onto, but my revealed pref being that i haven't touched or used them in the last year means i should probably let them go

I agree. I’ve started asking myself, am I going to use this in the next 6 months? If no, I get rid of it. With the exception of some seasonal items.

I go through this at least twice a year with my clothes. Not sure why it's so difficult to donate things that I haven't worn for years!
