Type Explorations for STADIUM 🏟️ + GT Planar + Geist Mono I love the dramatic italicized look and gives a sense of momentum and urgency—simulating the type of rush you would feel in a competitive environment. It’s a nice contrast from our existing treatment that’s bold and fixed.

On our current site we are using Tungsten as our display font because of its chunkiness and tall x-height. But on web, readability has felt a bit inconsistent unless it stays larger than 44px and it felt like our secondary JetBrains Mono was doing too much heavy lifting. So I’ve been exploring some options.

Some of this is a bit “alpha” cuz it hasn’t launched yet, but mainly o wanted to open the hood a bit to talk through process and rationale with branding & product design. In a way, one can inform the other in a quest to strike a balance between what’s implied and explicit.
