No definitely not. They buy the [0x1234wahtever].eth and mapping the address to theirs. And due some wallets like Metamask list ENS before address after resolving it could trick you into sending the funds to the wrong address.

Wait, they are registering your 14 digit wallet address and that overrides your authentic wallet address?
