This app in a way reminds me of Orkut back in the day. I made some pretty meaningful friendships from around the world and I'm still connected with them til today.

Yup I remember...I was in school...I even made an orcut account later on but never really used it

Ahh yes it was Google's version of a social media. It was fun while it lasted. I think it appealed more to the international audience than US.
