It’s not the content of the dispute that is offensive (the U.S. may fairly view its interests today differently than Kyiv and Europe more broadly) but the tone of the spectacle that is insulting not just to Zelensky but to all the Ukrainians who have died or been wounded in this war. Ukrainians have suffered a lot. They didn’t ask for the war, and they are not being spoiled as Trump and Vance comments are suggesting. If the U.S. wants to stop funding the war that is their right but basic decency should be shown to people who have endured so much.

I would slightly disagree here, at least from perspective of Ukraine: It's way more about the content and what really being done. We got used to US politics, delays of weapons / restrictions to hit inside russia as part of the electrlion campaign, and Trump & Co nonsense in general and prior to this meeting. The problem here I think that despite Zelensky being successful former comedian & show man, he doesn't recognise a show here anymore, it looks more of a deliberate actions towards certain scenario Ukraine is being forced into, and Zelensky couldn't take it. If insults were the main issue, he wouldn't visit US at all. We heard a lot during last month.
