I said it before, and I'll update it with a new addition: $DEGEN was the beating heart and soul of Farcaster growth. $Clanker is a tremendous shot on goal for Farcaster-native mass wealth formation โ profitable, i.e., sustainable (outside of hacks and crime) โ win-win stated values, as well as revealed actions โ fought against (and won?) the Moloch of cabal-tech, a local maxima that we could very easily have fallen into and died โ open JFC when have you ever seen such a low Neynar score threshold for a viable project. Has the world ended. Maybe (too early to say for sure tbh). But not because we let a bunch of unknown poors launch shitters. I get that Proxy treated some of you dicks like dicks. And gave off certain suss vibes, which you felt uneasy to express in public or private. Definitely examine that! and learn from it. Name the profitable FC-native projects: - Degen - Clanker - Bankr (maybe still early? but fking great tho) more sustainable than Merkle tbh

+ Neynar, maybe? Although, for them to make it profitable they need a lot of devs building on top of farcaster, most of them pay 9$, so even if we have (bullish numbers): ~2000 builders = $18k, users which pay $50, probably max ~300 = ~$15k, ~20 with $250 = $5000 $40-50k - optimistically it might cover infra costs (hubs, indexers, etc.)

tbc there's a huge difference between VC and bootstrapped projects' risk-reward and ambitions. So my comparison was a little incomplete. I think Neynar is winning. I think Paragraph is winning. I think Hypersub and Buoy are winning. I think Big Whale Labs are winning. Moar winners plz!!!

I see, in long-term agree on Paragraph and BWL - boroduch++ was iterating through really technically challenging cool products. I love Buoy, but probably will be eaten by Neynar APIs and Farcaster with better search UX. Hypersub super innovative, but questionable: unless blockchain verifiable subscriptions will be in demand, stripe and other checkout payment products will challenge it. I was big fan of Bountycaster, and thought they were on a path of winning.

We're still keeping Bountycaster operational in our personal time but we were at a place where not enough users for a sustainable business yet and we didn't want to raise for it based on situation so we joined Farcaster team to grow users
