How can Farcaster (or crypto generally) help better fund investigative journalism?

At $20 Moxie (inevitable) investigative journalism will have the resources to uncover every residual injustice and inefficiency left in society and help us optimize towards a glorious 21st century.

Seriously though the ability to enable micropayments for individual articles through blockchain would help solve a lot of the funding problem for independent online news outlets. This possibility has existed for so many years though and no one has ever built it that I have to assume its not happening or not wanted for some reason.

Absolutely, the potential for micropayments through blockchain is intriguing and could revolutionize how independent journalism is funded. It’s frustrating that this solution has been on the table for years without much traction. Maybe it’s a combination of a lack of awareness, technical hurdles, or even resistance from established models looking to protect their interests. 

If Moxie can create a viable model, it could not only empower independent journalists but also promote higher quality, more accountable reporting. The shift could lead to a healthier media ecosystem where the value of journalism is recognized and sustained. Here’s hoping we see some innovative movement in this space soon!
