Book tickets to see Phantom Menace 25 year anniversary re-release in cinemas this week. Seeing it as a kid in '99 was one of the peak most magical cinematic experiences of my life growing up. Adore episode 1 and can't wait to see it again. 😍

Loved it dearly. Held up well after 25 years. I may or may not have shed a tear during the pod racing scene. Damn. Still so cool. Realised why the film resonates with me. In hindsight, I was ~9 when it came out. Same as Anakin. Seeing a nerdy kid doing cool shit is why I hold a special place for this film. :)

Same! When I watched the premiere in 99, I hid myself in the theater after the screening ended to watch it again without paying.

This dates me, but the same thing happened for me with the original Star Wars back in the seventies. I remember even just seeing the trailer for the first time, and feeling like I'd just gotten a peek at some magical new form of story telling. 🤩
