I think some people are drawn to fiction as one way to read signposts in their own lives - and to take that metaphorical breather. "As a storyteller, I have command over that. But in life, I think when a chapter has ended and the next chapter is not yet in sight, it’s asking to pause, stop, and take off the baggage we’ve been carrying for a while."
