Alright, let’s get down to business: You’ve just been gifted 10 warps for your cast. What does this mean? 👵🏻

That means they liked your cast :) Warps are Warpcast's currency. You can buy them in the app for $5 =500 Keep in mind you can't sell them, and there is infinite supply, so it isn't a crypto 'coin' - Warps aren't onchain Not a speculative asset

I forgot the most important thing You can use Warps to connect to other apps in Farcaster (pay gas fees) or even mint NFTs with Warps (directly on Warpcast, 1 click)

What I don't understand is if everything is based on Ethereum why do we need warps?

Many reasons: Farcaster is not fully onchain, otherwise it would be costly (It is sufficiently decentralized). Warps are great for smooth transactions, without the need to pay gas once you are in Warpcast. They are also amazing to interact across chains (L2s and Solana is coming soon). cont 👇

So basically, Warps wrap the complexity for the user. You don't need crypto, a wallet, to use Warpcast... So Warps are great for users not as familiar with crypto.

Frames are the real game-changer They are mini apps that work on Farcaster feeds. Very simple to build. You can do actions like minting, sign up to things like events, newsletters, etc. in one click. Someone built a chess app and integrated Dota They were released last week, soon there will be all kinds of things
