For what it's worth, this isn't a done deal yet. If Kamala wins, it's an L for the "new media" strategy. I don't think she will win. But when I talk w/ my friend who works in politics, he tries to convince me that we live in an online bubble and that the new media is having less of an impact than we'd think.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you here — at least to the extent that we're talking specifically about podcasting! From my perspective, whoever wins, new media is playing an increasingly undeniable role. Kamala has been making the rounds herself, albeit in different circles.

Yep, specifically about podcasts. IMO her strategy is still much more traditional: 60 mins, the view, oprah, with some pods sprinkled in. CHD being the big exception. Whereas Trump has done everything from an Adin Ross twitch stream to Rogan and shirked the more traditional stuff (JD has done a lot of trad media)
