I'm really tired of the performative posting and shaming that occurs on social media, especially on Instagram, whenever there’s a disaster. 

Just because someone is sharing content that isn't directly related to the crisis doesn't mean they aren’t trying to educate themselves or contribute in their own way. 

Often, those who post phrases like "let me know how I can help" or "thinking of you" are the ones who do the least to genuinely help out, similar to when people posted black squares in 2020.
