Looks like he has two clips on each side, on the inside to stop the plates farther out and on the outside. Then he can just lower to the rack. I honestly kind of like this because I do bar sp not dumbbells with free shoulder movement on days I’m playing tennis, still won’t do it though because it looks awkward af
