interesting. the uptick in 2024 is from mainnets going live I presume. What would be a good denominator to compare this against? To show growth of zk usage as a whole

yeah that's a good one. Or also roll up usage in general (As a contrasting scaling tech)

Maybe the total gas usage or the total number of txns on Ethereum mainnet would a good denominator to compare the growth of zk usage as a whole.

This would provide a clear picture of the proportion of zk-related activity relative to the overall activity on the network.
