if my family is going to NYC this summer and wants to do all the classic new york city tourist stuff - ellis island, empire state building, etc., where is the best location/place to stay? would prefer it be a hotel in a nice area

I have not stayed their so I don't have an opinion on hotels, but for food, Katz Deli is a must!!!

i can second this. katz is f-in delicious. prepare yourself for a $30 sandwich tho
